Our Story

The name MAMO comes from Kurdish, meaning “uncle.” In our culture, it is used as a term of warmth and respect—if you see a man, even a stranger, and want to address him kindly, you call him MAMO. Our name reflects this sense of trust, familiarity, and connection.

The beauty and personal care industry has always been a family business for us. Our father began in 1970 with a small shop in our hometown, selling popular perfumes and colognes of the era. From this modest beginning, the business grew to serve wholesale customers across the city, and gradually expanded to neighboring towns.

In 2005, we started nationwide wholesale distribution, and by 2010 we had established multiple cosmetic and personal care distribution centers across various provinces, including Kurdistan, Urmia, and Tehran.

With the trust of international brands, MAMO now proudly carries more than 15 diverse brands in our portfolio. We continue to build on our family legacy, and we envision a bright and promising future for MAMO, delivering quality products and genuine trust to our customers across Our Market.
